Job Openings:

Full-Time Deputy Sheriff

Applicant must be at least 21 years of age and be certified as a Texas peace officer according to TCLEOSE standards.  Applicant must be in good physical shape, be able to pass a physical and psychological exam, pass background check, good moral background and no criminal history.  Must be able to work different shifts, answer calls, and be able to interact with the public on a daily basis.

 

Male and Female Corrections Officers

Applicant must be at least 18 years of age and be able to pass a physical, psychological, drug screening and background checks.  Applicant must have a good moral background and no criminal history.  Must be able to work different shifts and be available to work when needed as emergency situations may require it.  If not currently certified as a jailer, employee must pass a certification course and pass the state exam within 1 year from date of employment.

Reserve Deputy Sheriff

Applicant must be at least 21 years of age and be certified as a Texas peace officer according to TCLEOSE standards.  Applicant must be in good physical shape, be able to pass a physical and psychological exam, good moral background and no criminal history.  Must be able to work different shifts and be available to help out with civic functions and answer calls when required and needed.
